Elburn Fire wanted to not only showcase and celebrate their value to the community, but to interest new recruits in joining their incredible team. In order to accomplish a tone that reflected their inspiring efforts and powerful mission with momentum and intention, but still centered connection and community, we decided on a mix of scripted voice over and on-camera interviews. I scripted this piece with room for interview responses and layered soundbites that smoothly brought the narrative from one method to another, storyboarded visuals to guide the video’s rhythm and ensure we included the impressive variety of services and situations the department covers, and scheduled the full day for a smooth production.
